Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market.  The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine.  Ideally located in NSW Hunter Valley near Singleton, willing applicants have the opportunity to live, work and play in a region that is synonymous with revitalisation and growth, is community minded and offers a mix of affordable living, quality education and outstanding sports and recreation facilities.

The Role

An opportunity exists at our operation for a Surveyor to join our team.  As an integral member of the Technical Services team, you enjoy working in the office or out in the field and are keen to deliver accurate spatial data, in a timely and safe manner

Reporting to the Mine Surveyor, you will be primarily responsible for;

  • Capturing and processing survey data;
  • Utilising the sites survey equipment which includes GPS, UAV’s, laser scanner and total station, to maintain up to date survey working models and complete volume calculations;
  • Delivering accurate spatial data.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in the survey field;
  • Experience with mining software packages such as AutoCAD, Vulcan and I-Site;
  • Experience working in an Open Cut mining environment;
  • Strong problem solving skills, an ability to work within a focused team and solid communication skills;
  • Preference will be given to candidates willing to obtain their BOSSI Mine Survey Registration.
