About the role
We’re seeking a Corporate Counsel to support Transurban’s delivery of the West Gate Tunnel Project (WGT Project) in Melbourne. Together with the Victorian Government, Transurban is working to develop and deliver the West Gate Tunnel Project.
As a member of the Transurban Legal team, this position is responsible for providing high-quality legal advice to those parts of the Group within their area of responsibility. As one of our Corporate Counsels, you must ensure that legal obligations are met, and legal risks managed, while seeking maximum alignment with the Group’s business objectives and protection of its interests and reputation.
The position involves the provision of legal advice to support continued delivery and integration of the WGT Project, including contract administration, claims management, commercial transactions, regulatory issues, and management of external legal advisers. You must be capable of building strong and effective working relationships with people at all levels across the Group and representing Transurban in meetings or communications with external stakeholders.
