Senior Manager, Operations and Planning

  • This is a full-time continuing position with salary in the range $130,046 - $137,525 (HEW 9), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

About This Opportunity

As the Senior Manager, Operations and Planning, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of ITaLI, driving efficiency and innovation. Reporting to the Director, ITaLI, collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives and ensure the team delivers exceptional support services.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the team, aligning with University goals and priorities.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including financial management, resource allocation, and performance reporting.
  • Lead and mentor staff, fostering a positive team culture and promoting professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and other units within the University.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for innovation, and ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.

About You

  • Strong leadership and management experience with a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative business strategies and processes. Experience in project management and financial management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, foster a positive team culture, and drive performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new challenges.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including but not limited to criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
