Project Officer

  • Queensland Brain Institute
  • Two Full-time (100%), fixed-term positions for up to 3 years
  • Base salary will be in the range $89,861.38 - $96,402.32 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)
  • Based at our St Lucia Campus

About This Opportunity

There are two positions available within Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) to become a Project Officer. You will support the delivery of projects by completing a range of activities including coordinating project planning, project communication, stakeholder engagements, project documentation, project deliverables, and other duties as required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the successful delivery and administration of all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation, while developing and maintaining project-related standard operating procedures and ensuring standards and logistics.
  • Coordinate the development and management of project documentation, organise and support the delivery of project-related activities, events, consultation activities, and meetings, and undertake complex data entry, retrieval, and document management.
  • Utilise project-management software and applications, including REDCap and Qualtrics, to facilitate project tasks
  • Coordinate project communication and a range of administrative activities to support the project team, including drafting emails, documents, and other materials, as well as providing general project-related committee support.
  • Utilise a range of desktop-based programs and management information systems to facilitate project tasks and support the project team.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagements, including planning, developing materials, facilitating participation, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain important client relationships.

About You

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.
  • Previous experience working on a longitudinal study or in a similar role would be highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Project Management and multi-tasking experience, with an agile and flexible approach
  • Problem Identification and Solution Driven
  • Excellent oral, written and stakeholder engagement communication skills
  • ​Experience using project management programs such as REDCap, Qualtrics
  • Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • Current valid driver’s license and Blue Card

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, blue card check.
