We're currently seeking a strategic leader to assume the position of Executive Manager Cabin Crew. Reporting directly to the CEO Qantas Domestic, in this role, you'll lead the Qantas International and Domestic Cabin Crew teams (QAL, QCCA, QD, QCCUK).
Core responsibilities for this role involve steering strategic direction, enhancing operational performance, and leading strategic initiatives across Cabin Crew and wider organisation. This includes closely collaborating with teams in Customer Service, Engineering, Flight Operations, Airports and the IOC, as well as building strong partnerships with employee representatives and associations to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Beyond these duties, this role is dedicated to nurturing a dynamic team culture, encompassing compliance, safety, and service excellence, making critical decisions and leading transformative programs. With oversight of a workforce of approximately six thousand Qantas employees and three hundred contingent staff globally, you'll lead efforts to boost employee engagement, drive cultural change, and cultivate a customer-centric environment within the Cabin Crew community.

What you'll bring to the role:
A strategic mindset with a continuous improvement outlook, identifying growth opportunities and implementing innovative solutions for ongoing improvement.
Proven track record in creating and maintaining a diverse, inclusive, and safe culture where your teams can bring their best to the work they do every day, coupled with demonstrated experience in fostering a positive team culture and driving employee engagement initiatives.
Proficient understanding of regulatory environments: Ensuring compliance and minimising regulatory risks through comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations.
The ability to influence positive outcomes with senior stakeholders: Building strong relationships and advocating for initiatives aligned with organisational objectives.
Demonstrated experience in building strong and collaborative working relationships with unions, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation to achieve common goals.
Strong analytical skills with high-level planning and lateral critical thinking skills, along with experience operating within safety management systems.
